We are appointment only - please book in via our online system. Once booked in, I will arrange to give you a call before your appointment to find out what sort of styles you are looking for. This gives us more time at the appointment to try on dresses! The studio can accommodate up to 3 guests (4 including the bride) and your appointment is all about you! There is a small fee for weekend appointments which is redeemable against any purchases made. I also offer complimentary follow up appointments for return brides who need a bit more time to make their decision. ‘Revisit the dress’ appointments are available during the week or weekends.
I would recommend plain skin tone underwear if possible (make it comfy too!). If you already have your bridal shoes, please bring these but I do have heels in the studio from size 3 to 8. I kindly ask that you do not wear fake tan or heavy foundation to your appointment to keep the dresses as immaculate as possible for you and the next bride.
Yes, please do! I encourage you to take pictures during your appointment - this is part of the wedding journey!
I recommend 9-12 months before your wedding. Lead times are typically 4-6 months for your dress to be made. As all dresses are made to order, this means the designers do not hold stock - so there is less wastage that typically comes with ready to wear garments. I understand that we sometimes don’t have this much time (my own wedding included!), so we can accommodate shorter times if required. All designers will accommodate a rush order for a small fee.
I have a range of separates starting at £265. Dresses range from £915 - £4,315 but the average is around £2,000.
The studio samples range from a size 10 - 18, with the majority of our samples being a size 12. Please contact me if our sample sizes do not accommodate you at lucy@studio41bridal.co.uk.
Our designers will cater to all dress sizes, producing your real dress to the closest standard dress size taken from your measurements.
I will absolutely do my best for you! Just email lucy@studio41bridal.co.uk and I will see if I can temporarily loan the requested pieces for your appointment. There may be a small charge for this.
It’s important to note that made-to-order means the dress is made to your nearest clothing size. It is recommended you allow for alterations to make those final tweaks in order to achieve a perfect fit. I do not offer an alteration service in the studio, however I have some amazing seamstresses I can recommend. You can either take your dress directly to them, or I can arrange for them to come in during your collection and fitting appointment. They will then take your dress away to make the alterations.
All of Studio 41’s designers are happy to accommodate small tweaks to the designs. If a back is too low and you’d like to wear a bra, or a skirt split is too high for you - no problem! We can discuss this during your appointment.
Once you have chosen your dress, I will require a 50% non-refundable deposit. The remaining 50% will be paid upon collection of your bridalwear. There is always an option to pay in full upon ordering if you would prefer.
All stock is made to order and any orders placed are final and non-refundable as they are made especially for you. A contractual agreement will be provided at time of order.
